There are two different modes of play in the game, one of it is burst mode. In the burst mode, you get to see blobs of energy dropping out from each enemy ship you destroy. You can unleash weapons with a powerful blast when you collect enough of these energy blobs, and you can unleash it by sliding your finger down the screen. The second mode of play is classic mode. Classic mode allows the player to focus their fire, and they do this by sliding up the screen. Now, this comes in handy when you are fighting against bigger enemies instead of squads of nimble fighters.
